While working on Quickmode, how can I copy a form element from one form to another one?

This is a very common need and I don't see how to achieve it, I don't want to clone forms, just bring some old stuff to new forms.

i'm having a similar prob with copying elements - one form to another.
i copied a php username drop down list from a sample form, just element of it - across to the form i wanted to use this feature.
but i cant find where within the copied to form, the element is stored.

uhm...
what i was borrowing from was one of the sample forms that had a drop down - select from list php coded feature that spoke to my user list and allowed one to be able to choose any registered member's username to be included in form if need be. .
