Hi

I have created a form in QuickMode and it works and looks great. The problem is if I edit the form in any way - such as adding or removing any validation - some of the form fields are no longer visible in the browser or in the sitepreview.
Also - don't know if it is related but when I add a form to the menu i get the message

"Next find BreezingForms in the Components menu, and click on Configuration to continue with step 2 of the installation process." I have completed this step and have a facileforms.config.php saved successfully.

Hi vwzombie,

Adding or removing validation shouldn't affect whether your form field is visible or not.

When you edit your form to add or remove validation, are you clicking the SAVE PROPERTIES button (found at either the top or bottom of the form properties or element properties screen) and saving your form to ensure that the changes you make are being saved?

With respect to the second part of your post, that's a text error in the file which will be fixed in the next upgrade. It should NOT be affecting your forms either.

Can you give me more details on how you're editing your form? Or point me to a URL maybe?

Yes I am using the save properties and then saving the forms - the changes take effect on the fields that are visible. I am developing on my localhost at the moment so I can't point you to an URL. I tried this on another server yesterday with a different form and the same type of thing happened.

I have tried again - on another local form - I removed the validation by unchecking the box for library and checking none. This time all the form fields are visible but the select drop downs have vanished!

Did you use the patch that makes it possible to add php in select fields? See:

There are two patches available there - one for version 1.65, and the other for 1.7.

Please advise when you have a chance.

Yes I did see that thread and I am using the patch - I added some php to a select list as in the post you refered to - when I did that parts of the form stopped showing in the front end and in the preview but at least the code worked where it had not before using the patch.
In addition to this I have 4 very similar forms with a summary page for each and the option to not show when empty selected for each field. 3 of the forms work fine but the fourth shows all the fields whether they are filled in or not. I created them as copies of eachother and changed all the names so I am confused that only one doesn't work as it should.
Also when I export the forms as a package and reinstall them on another server the hidden fields do not work - I have got round that one by deleting the visibility rules, saving the form and then putting them back in but it seems a bit odd.
Could all these problems be something to do with my intallation or how I am setting up the forms??
