TOPIC: Simple form that directs to the main form?

Simple form that directs to the main form? 1 year, 11 months ago #12724

Okay, I know that subject line may have been confusing but I am not sure how else to describe it. Our reservation/order form is 4 pages and would take up way too much room on our index page. I want to create a "teaser" form that would only require a few fields and when they click submit/next it directs them to the main form and populates the fields they already filled in.

Is this possible?

I have attached a sample of what I am looking for. I understand the sample is calling in depth calculations/scripts which I do not need.

Hi there,

Try this link -- it should give you the information you need.

If you have any questions, let us know.

Thanks,

I should add that the instructions there relate to a thank-you page, but the general principle is the same.

Sorry, a few more things I should add...

I would suggest creating your teaser form within a BreezingForms module. (To do so, you will need to have the module enabled.) Then have the URL direct to a second form that is your quote page.

I know you can carry fields forward from one form to the next. Here are a couple of articles that will give you an idea of how that can be accomplished.

Prefilled Form Data (Name and Email)

As you get closer to putting your form(s) together, if you need more help, just shout.

Terry,

Awesome information. I will try and work on this today and let you know how it works out. Seems to be pretty straight forward so hopefully I can get it done.

Thanks again

I was able to make a form with only three fields, "name", "origin zip code" and "destination zip code". I used a "next" button and as suggested in the first reply I had it redirect to the main form, all worked well.

The issue is the data doesn't transfer and after reviewing the two forum posts suggested neither will work for me. The potential users submitting the form are not registered so I cannot call their profile data.

Any other suggestions for transferring those three fields?
