Solved: Visibility rules don't work, see last post 1 year, 6 months ago #14795

Hi there

I already posted my problem in the german forum. Unfortunately nobody answered yet.

I created the same form as it is discribed in this tutorial:
Turn fields and sections on or off conditionally

It does not work. I checked the preview with different browsers (Firfox 3.6.6, Safari, IE 8 and IE 7).
I also changed my customized template to the original rhuk-solar-tmpl.

I use Joomla 1.5.18 and BreezingForms 1.7.1 Build 730

Has anybody any idea how to figuer out this prob?

Thanx in advance

Hi,

please post your visibility rules here. Also check your firefox error console if you see any errors and post them here, too if any.

Markus

Hi Markus

My rules are

For the switcher:
0;Turn on;on
1;Turn off;off

Visibilty rules are:
turn on element mytextfield if switcher is on
turn off element mytextfield if switcher is off

There are plenty of warnings in the firefox error console after I click onto the form in the "managae forms" menu in the Joomla-Backend.

But there are no messages in the error console, when I open the form preview or the site-preview. I also opened teh previews in new frames and new windows. The console stays empty.

Greets

Here is a screenshot of the different config steps. The fading-effect is disabled.

Hi,

did you hide the textfield in its advanced tab?
If you already did, keeps the textfield being invisible?

...oh sorry, didn't really see it cause the text was too small. Please try:

turn on element mytextfield if switcher is on
turn off element mytextfield if switcher is off

The "element" identifier is missing there.

Markus
