I just tried sending an email using the Joomla built-in contact form and that works perfectly. I have actually tried to install this on two different sites and neither site has worked for me, so I'm continuing to try to narrow down this problem.
Iv'e tried installing and reinstalling on both sites and the same issue occurs. Here are the steps that I go through:
1) Install "com_breezingforms_165" and then go to step 2 to setup the DB and follow onscreen instructions.
2) Install "plg_mmfuncs" and then I publish the plugin.
3) Go to Breezing Forms and click "Manage Forms"
4) I click "Easy Mode" and I try building a very simple form with 2 text fields and a submit button.
5) I drag over the "text field" item, click on the label, click the "element tab", change the content to: "Name" and hit update. I then click on the field and change the Title to: "Name" and change the Name to: "name". I then click the "Validation Script", click Library and then put "Name Empty" in the error message and then click script "FF::ff_valuenotempty" in the drop down menu and then I click update.
6)I repeat step 5, but I do it for an email field. The only differences is that I use the name: "email" instead and under the "Validation Script", I change the error message to: "No Email Address Provided" and I choose the script: "FF::ff_validemail" and then click update.
7) I then drag over the "Submitbutton", click the Label... and simply delete the text. I then click the "Submit Query" button and click the "Element" tab and change the title to: "Send" and then I change the name to: "send" and then I change the value to "send" and then I click update. I then click on "Action Script" and theck click Library and then put a check mark next to "Click" and then I choose the script: "FF:ff_validate_submit" and then I click update.
8)I then save the form on the top right of the page.
9)I then go to "form settings" and choose the Email Notification drop down box and choose "To Custom Address" and then put my email address in the Email To box. Everything else is left default and I click save at the bottom.
10) I try testing it in the preview box and the site preview box and after I fill out everything and hit submit, it appears that it worked (since I havent setup a Thank you page or anything for this simple form).
11) Well, I go to my email account to check and nothing has come in. I have tried two different email accounts but still no email.
If I go to the manage records section, my form is there, but no email.
Any idea? Did I miss anything for this simple form I created?
