TOPIC: Turning on/off multiple elements

Turning on/off multiple elements 2 years, 8 months ago #8863

Hi everyone,

I was wondering if you guys know how to turn on/off multiple elements from a single radio button - or if this is even possible. I dont want to create a new section as it would ruin the flow of the form - an example of what i am trying to do is.

Is your fav. color red?

(yes) (no)
| |
| - if no dont display elements
|
- if yes display next 2 elements, Why and how much

I have the Visibility rules as

turn on element whyred if red is yes
turn off element whyred if red is no
turn on element howmuch if red is yes
turn off element howmuch if red is no

however, no such luck... any help?

I'm having same problem, but can't find answer on forum. Any solution for this yet as it is part of the tutorials.

Hi,

that should work like

turn on element bla if element blub is on
turn off element bla if element blub is off

Yes, better see this tutorial first:

www.crosstec.de/turn-fields-and-sections...f-conditionally.html

And also this video training:

I think what is probably happening is that it is only preoccessing the first element. In the example from the op, the whyred element will turn on/off while the howmuch element does nothing. Alternatively, it is probably turning them on but not off. Am I correct?

I have seen similar problems with my own forms and it seems to be a browser based problem. I posted a bug report about the issue here.
