TOPIC: Integrator and tables without prefix jos_

Integrator and tables without prefix jos_ 2 years, 4 months ago #8961

Hi,

I need to insert data into a table that does not begin with jos_.
Is it possible to do this with Integrator? It does not show the fields in the table:

Thanks!

Hi,

the integrator uses the table list that is managed and provided by the Joomla! framework. If this list is empty then I assume an issue with Joomla! itself.

Do you use mixed table prefixes? I mean, do you want to store the data across 2 joomla installations?

I don't have two different joomla installations; I use two different prefixes because the tables storing the data I need were not designed for Joomla!, so they use another prefix.

So is this not possible to do with the integrator?

Thanks for your reply.

Same question here...

Although my table with different prefix shows up in the integrator's table list, the field lists after saving the rule are empty.
I'm running Breezingforms 1.6 on Joomla 1.5.14.

Hi,

it seems to be a bug within Joomla!.

I am using the Joomla! API to retrieve this list and it should be transparent on table prefixes.
But sometimes, it is not.

I added this to the TODO list I am actually working on and let you know.

Thx for the quick reply - I was guessing something like this.
Currently it doesn't matter to me as I'm simply prefixing additional tables with the joomla prefix. I wonder if it would work, had I not chosen to use a prefix at all

I like BF a lot BTW. Was messing around with an addon on my own but never had the time to get it anywhere close to what you have accomplished here!

In case I will use BF on more than one project I seriously will consider buying the Pro version !
