TOPIC: Cleanlogic vertical menus?

Cleanlogic vertical menus? 11 months, 1 week ago #75680

Hi,

I see that the latest release (1.7.2) of the Cleanlogic template supports vertical menus, however I can't get them to work quite as expected. Horizontal menus are fine, but because I have 4 sub-levels of menu for some sections of the website, it gets a bit messy if I try to dropdown 4 levels from the horizontal menu.

So for those pages that need the extra menus, I have created a separate module with a vertical menu and assigned it to the Left position of the template. This works fine, except I get a vertical separator at the end of each menu item, which doesn't look right. What I really want is a horizontal separator (or none at all).

I have tried setting the moduleclass suffix 'menu ct_menu_vertical' but it doesn't make any difference.

Should I be able to create a vertical menu with the template, or when it refers to supporting vertical menu's you are actually referring to the dropdown menus that appear when you hover the mouse over the horizontal menu bar?

if you liek you can remove the horizontal rule from the menu's by going to
templates/cleanlogic/css/cssmenu.css
go to line 30

and remove the last item that states:

border-right: 1px solid rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.2)

this will remove the horizontal rule

then change:
border-left: 1px solid rgba(0, 0, 0, 0.1)
to
border-left:1px solid rgba(255, 255, 255, 0.2)

Hi Ian,

it looks like you have not installed our updated version (1.7.2). Just login on our website and go to "My Downloads". There you can download the latest version of the CleanLogic template. Please read the infos in the file "UPDATE-TEMPLATE.txt" that comes with the template.

With the new version, your vertical menus should look like this:

Hi Robin,

I have installed the 'free' version of 1.7.2 - are the vertical menus only available in the paid version? As a non-commercial organisation, we try to keep costs down as much as possible, and we are quite happy with the default colour scheme, so didn't see any additional features in the paid version that we needed.

I uninstalled the previous version (1.7.0) before installing the new version to make sure there was no clash.

I cannot see the file "UPDATE-TEMPLATE.txt" in the template zip file - am I using the wrong module class suffix?

'_menu ct_menu_vertical'

Thanks

Ian
