integrating Breezingforms with a publishing modul 2 years, 10 months ago #6926

Hello!

we are considering to purchase Breezingforms for allowing us to smoothly create forms, we require in a number of applications. I would like your advice on the following matter.

I understand data we collect with Breezingforms are stored in the mysql. We then require

1. to make some processing of these data (calculations, etc.)

2. create a report including both the raw data as well as the calculated ones.

For us it would be a major help if we could have an environment where data collection and data processing and presentation could be jointly considered.
Any chance to look Breezingforms from such a persapective? Any suggestion for any other module to best integrate with Breezingforms?

Hi, we are currently developing BF 1.6.5. After that we plan to include exactly what you need - for having it out of the box. So if you like, we could both work on this together and give us advice on how this should work.	TheMuffinMan

thats perfect you know, it always suprises me how little reporting stuff is our there for joomla; I think it is very wise to look into this in an interated way with your data entry module. By the way, which plan should we go for? So we install breezingforms and we stay in touch for potantial intergration with reporting any timing for this? vielen Dank und aud wiederhoeren! Hi, no plan required, since you will put some effort into the development (like suggestions, testing, etc.) We are about to release version 1.6.5 this week, so we could start by next monday if this would be ok for you?	TheMuffinMan

...yes i think we can

till now we have managed this requirement (web collection, processinng, web automatic reporting) with VBA/ crystalreports.

I can show you cases of the target report, automatically produced, too get a feeling.

Now we are truning the back to MS and endorsing php/ mysql and the like. So we are out for a new environment to provide this integration.

But first we need to install bf 1.6.5 and get to know it. When can this be done?

Hi again!

Here are the 9 tasks to be completed in a typical project we want to be able to support

introduction
1. Create project

data collection
2. Set up data collection forms (each related to the calculation of an indicator)
3. Validate form fields
4. Create a help button on each form (open a .pdf file with info on indicator)

data processing
5. Develop code for indicator calculation
6. Calculate overall mark (based on individual indicator marks)
7. Calculate statistical information (across projects)

result presentation
8. Design or select (?) template for report
9. Create report on a button click based on dbase data and report template

what is your reaction? what is currently supported and what are the plans
