ContentBuilder makes heavy use of the Joomla!® plugin infrastructure. There are several different aspects where plugins might come into play:
| on content display | giving extra value to the displayed content (for example image display, thumbnails, file downloads, etc.) |
| on list state change | trigger an action on selected records from within a list |
| on form submission | trigger some general action before and after submit |
| on form validation | validate one or more fields before the submission is stored. |
| on verification | handle registrations, payments, etc. |
| theming | provide a custom look and feel for list, details, content and forms |
Though all of these aspects are important, we would like to focus on content and verification plugins as ContentBuilder already ships with very helpful plugins.
