We need to replace the standard Joomla login and registration forms. We need to collect a great deal of data that the standard Joomla registration does not, and Community Builder's UI choices are unacceptable.

We need to be able to design our own registration form, and our own login form, and at login and at registration we need to perform a number of customer-specific actions, and we need to log in to or register with the standard Joomla user management system.

So, the question. Assuming I have displayed to the user a BreezingForms login or registration form, and the user has filled in the fields and clicked on the button, and now I'm running the PHP code that's supposed to do whatever is supposed to be done, what Joomla functions do I call to cause the user to be logged in? what Jooma functions do I call to register a new user?

Looks like Breezing forms do not allow the functionality. I would recommend the other extensions (some even include this substitution in their packs)

Hi,

BreezingForms allows that (long before others did similar).

See this package:

www.crosstec.de/component/docman/cat_vie...orms/6-packages.html

The "pay to register" contains a ready-to-run predefined form together with registration.

If you don't need the PayPal button, replace it with a normal Submit-Button and add additonal fields if you need them,

What do I need to change in a Quickmode form to register the user with additional information that I require? Coz I already made a form in Quickmode with everything required in it.

Thanks!

Hi,

it is done the same way like for the EasyMode package above.

Compare how it is done there by checking the pieces in the package's form settings.

Maybe i'm just missing something, but how after getting the form the way you want it, can you replace where the create account link in the standard joomla login box goes, so that it goes to the form that I created? or do you just disable that link and add another one somewhere else?

Thanks in advance.
