Validate Date Format MM/DD/YYYY
I want to have my users enter the date into a textfield instead of using the Calendar date picker. Is there a way to verify that they are entering it in the right format? I want it to be entered as MM/DD/YYYY.

Yes, there is.

First, download the attached script, and install it as a package using the instructions in this KnowledgeBase article:

http://crosstec.de/support/index.php?pid=knowledgebase&cmd=viewentclient&id=78

Now create your textfield element. In the VALIDATION section, use the following settings:

Required: Should be CHECKED

Validation Type: Library

Error Message: Please enter date in format MM/DD/YYYY.

Script: FF::ff_validate_date_MMDDYYYY

Click on SAVE PROPERTIES to save your changes to the text element, and then click on the SAVE icon in the upper right-hand corner to save the form itself.

Note: This will also work with the calendar date picker.

For this date validation script, in the FORMAT field of the Calendar element, set the format  field to:

mm/dd/y
